Need a wedge for the Masters. Titleist’s new Vokey limited-edition wedge has you covered

The 64-degree wedge can be a handy weapon at Augusta National for the Masters. Unfortunately, neither you, nor I are playing in this year’s Masters. Jimmy Walker, however, is, and now you can buy a version of his 64-degree wedge.

The Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks 64W limited edition wedge. Designed for use in firm conditions and courses with elevated greens (again, Augusta National, anyone?), the wedge helps players with skills navigate those short-sided shots that need to get up quickly.

With a medium-width sole, slight camber and an effective bounce of 4 degrees, the wedge also employs durable “diamond-like coating” with a large “64” graphic on the back in the toe area.

As for Walker, he became intrigued with the idea of adding a 64-degree wedge in late 2019, calling Titleist Vokey tour rep Aaron Dill requesting something new that felt lower bounce, faster through the turf, and had more of a skid and slide feeling on the bottom. Said Dill, “I went to work making a smoother sole with no grind lines and reduced the bounce. Jimmy texted me and said, ‘This wedge is a joke.’ He loved it and said it was in the bag.”

The limited-edition wedges utilize Vokey’s progressive center of gravity where the CG is pushed forward of the face for consistency and a softer, more solid feel. The company’s hallmark Spin Milled grooves remain as well. Customization options include five-character custom stamping and a custom paint-filled BV wings logo. The wedges are available now via WedgeWorks on Vokey.com and cost $250.
