Golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the betting space, and accordingly, Golf Digest has launched our own betting podcast—Be Right—which handicaps the week’s PGA Tour event. We endeavor to have the best guests in the industry to bring the best expert analysis, similar to our weekly experts’ picks column on GolfDigest.com, which includes an anonymous tour caddie and three data scientists making their best bets (they went up more than 220 units in the 2019-’20 season). Be sure to subscribe to the “Be Right” podcast wherever you get your podcasts.
Christopher Powers, an Assistant Editor at Golf Digest, hit on Bryson DeChambeau to win the U.S. Open at Winged Foot at 25-1, the same Bryson who many of the haters claimed wouldn’t be able to overpower the iconic New York venue. When he’s not still dunking on people for that, he’s probably wasting his Bryson winnings on Patrick Rodgers and Byeong Hun An outright bets, in addition to countless NFL and college football losers. He does some actual work, too, covering the PGA Tour and all the other major sports on The Loop.
Steve Hennessey, a Deputy Managing Editor, is a lifelong degenerate at heart—from playing online poker in high school to betting Russian ping-pong and Belarusian soccer during quarantine (sadly, both true stories). Hennessey oversees our gambling coverage on Golf Digest, in addition to our PLAY (Where to Play, What to Play and How to Play) content on GolfDigest.com. The New Jersey native cashed five outright winners after the PGA Tour restart in 2020, plus a handful of First-Round Leaders (thanks to Harold Varner III and Brendon Todd).
Alex Myers is a senior writer at Golf Digest, where he has written about all things golf since 2009. His weekly column, The Grind, has been around since 2013, and the accompanying videos make his mom proud. Prior to that, Alex was a sports reporter at The Journal News after graduating from Wake Forest, where he was definitely not on the golf team. He has never had a hole-in-one and probably never will, so don’t ask him about that.
