The DP World Tour remains in Europe this week as Rinkven International Golf Club once again plays host to the Soudal Open in Belgium. Thomas Detry leads the Belgian contingent on home soil this week. Since Detry earned his PGA TOUR card via the Korn Ferry Tour Finals last summer, he’s enjoyed three top ten finishes on the American-based circuit. The most recent of those was in March at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic where he battled to a T-8 finish. Jorge Campillo will fancy his chances as he made it five consecutive top ten finishes in Italy last week. His eighth-place finish at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club also underlined his credentials for a Ryder Cup debut later this year. Canadian Aaron Cockerill has a strong chance after narrowly missing out on his first DP World Tour title at the end of last month in a playoff in Japan. Ryder Cup Vice Captains Nicolas Colsaerts, Thomas Bjørn and Edoardo Molinari will believe they have an opportunity with 18 DP World Tour titles between them. German Marcel Siem and seven-time DP World Tour winner Thorbjørn Olesen will also feel confident on taking the number one spot among the 156-player field in Belgium.
